Organic Native Waxy Maize Starch



Organic Native Waxy Maize Starch comes from specially selected organic waxy maize. Unlike conventional corn starch, it contains almost exclusively amylopectin. This delivers unique functionality across a wide range of food manufacturing applications.
In water-based systems, Native Waxy Maize Starch yields a high-viscosity, clear paste upon cooking. It exhibits little tendency to retrograde or gel upon cooling. Exceptional freeze-thaw stability makes it ideal for Deep Frozen products, Crèmes, Cold Fruit Cups, and Milk products. Its special thickening ability also suits Baked Goods, Soups, Sauces, Dietetic products, Baby Food, and Powdered Food applications.
Note: Organic Native Waxy Maize Starch does not suit acid preparations below pH 5.0. It also performs poorly under strong shear forces from high-speed stirrers, pumps, or colloid mills.
